Susannah Margison is a Canadian lawyer and mediator with nearly fifteen years of professional experience in conflict resolution and more than a decade as a trial lawyer. She mediates complex civil and commercial disputes, with particular emphasis on professional negligence, healthcare, and other serious or sensitive matters.

Susannah is routinely retained in disputes involving medical, hospital, and nursing malpractice, elder and long-term care negligence, institutional abuse, aviation, class actions, and other professional negligence claims. She also mediates complex matters where legal risk intersects with reputation, relationships, credibility, or professional identity.

Before becoming a full-time mediator, Susannah spent a decade in civil litigation, including practising medical malpractice law in-house with a major Canadian insurer. She has also acted as legal counsel to national organizations and advised professionals navigating complex and reputationally sensitive disputes and chaired one of Ontario’s largest interdisciplinary primary care boards. 

Susannah is a member of the International Academy of Mediators, an international organization of experienced commercial mediators dedicated to advancing the practice of mediation. She also serves on the Academy’s Artificial Intelligence Committee.
